It’s time for a bit of a Beatles update for the 2010s, courtesy the Flaming Lips and their fwends.
With a Little Help from My Fwends, the Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band tribute album helmed by Wayne Coyne and his band of alt-rockers, is streaming today (Oct. 20) via NPR’s First Listen program.

The record features a star-studded cast of contributors, from Miley Cyrus and Moby on a cover of “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds” that was released last week to My Morning Jacket and Dinosaur Jr.’s J. Mascis on the first track, “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.”
Other songs will include such artists as Foxygen, Maynard James Keenan, MGMT, Tegan and Sara, Dr. Dog and more. Cyrus will even pop up again on “A Day in the Life.”
With a Little Help from My Fwends is out Oct. 28. Hear the full album, via NPR, here.
