Tegan and Sara show off their ’80s sensibilities with their new track, “Shudder To Think.”
The previously unreleased B-side — featured on the soundtrack to the upcoming Matthew McConaughey move The Dallas Buyers Club — is a synth-heavy ode to living life to the fullest. (Listen below via Rolling Stone)
The Dallas Buyers Club stars McConaughey as Ron Woodroof, a Texas man who after being diagnosed with HIV is denied antiretroviral treatment and decides to smuggle drugs from Mexico to sell to other patients. The movie, out November 1, also stars Jared Leto as s a transgender woman named Rayon with HIV, who helps Woodroof with his illegal business.
The movie’s soundtrack, out October 29, includes songs from Leto’s band Thirty Seconds to Mars, My Morning Jacket, the Airborne Toxic Event, Cold War Kids and Fitz and the Tantrums.

On October 23, Tegan and Sara will take part in the We Can Survive concert at the Hollywood Bowl in L.A. All proceeds from the concert — headlined by Katy Perry, and featuring Sara Bareilles, Ellie Goulding and Kacey Musgraves — benefits the Young Survival Coalition, the global organization that is dedicated to the critical issues unique to young women who are diagnosed with breast cancer.
